David John Cockram - Ringwood & District Ex-Tablers' Club
It is with deepest regret that we report the passing of David Cockram at home in Three Cross, Dorset on March 21st 2016
He was an Honorary Life Member of Ringwood and District Ex-Tablers' Club, a founder member of Ringwood Round Table and over the years acted as Chairman of both Clubs.
A generous man, David is fondly remembered for his enthusiastic support of his family, farming, shooting magpies and as Chair of St. Leonard’s Hospital League of Friends.
Kathleen and David were married for 63 years and hosted many memorable Table parties at their farm. He loved his rugby and cricket and made a very capable wicket keeper for the Club.
His daily 2-mile walk over Moors Valley always included, over the years, rubbing his thumb on a particular gate to leave a deep shiny indent. Why? David aimed throughout life to leave his mark and he did so at many levels.
David is sadly missed by all who knew him.
