David died on the 13th August, 2022, after battling illness for 2 years, but showing a remarkable comeback only a month before his death. He was a former Chairman & President of City of Birmingham Round Table No 50 and Chairman of City of Birmingham 41 Club. He leaves a widow Julia, three sons and grandchildren.
