In business Terry's energy and foresight was legendary. The business he established as a one man band became a multi million turnover company, notably transforming

a derelict part of Hexham into a complex of modern offices, workshops and homes. He also found time to establish a highly successful training and employment business in the town.

Terry was a widower, leaving two sons and five grandchildren of whom he was immensely proud.

Terry was a fiercely proud of his local roots and it was fitting that his Memorial Service was held at a packed Hexham Abbey in November.
