Steve Tomlinson - Northampton 41 Club

I am saddened to report that our friend Steve passed away unexpectedly and suddenly on17th November. Prez Pete has sent our condolences . This news has come as a great shock and our thoughts are with Lynda and their children at what must be a bewildering and overwhelming time.

Steve has been a member of both Table and 41 Club throughout my time in Northamptonshire from the 1990s. I first spent time with him during the period of The Baker’s Dozen investment Club which existed when I moved from the defunct Northampton 92 41 Club to join 985. Steve was a very knowledgeable member of that group and contributed much to the eventual profit that we all reaped at which point we closed it down.
Steve described himself as a Food Technologist this work regularly saw him work away from home so at times he had not been able to attend 41 Meetings so regularly. Recently however and particularly during the lockdown period we have seen more of him. Steve’s experience of Zoom calls helped us all and enabled us to maintain our links when face to face meetings were not possible. He introduced us to Zoom backgrounds and facilitated the online horse racing and Bingo that kept us entertained during a difficult period.

Steve’ presence at our meetings will be greatly missed by all that knew him, rest in peace good friend.
