Alan Helps - Newham & District 41 Club

Newham & District 41 Club

We are sad to report the death of Alan Helps on 9^th November 2015.

Alan had been suffering from Parkinson’s for a number of years.

Alan was a surveyor with the London Borough of Newham and joined East Ham Round Table in 1975 rising to Chairman in 1983.
Whilst in Table, his mother became Mayor of Newham and Alan became involved a number of Town Hall matters to assist her.

He joined Newham & District 41 Club in 1990 and it was only in recent years that we saw less of him as his illness progressed.

Alan joined the West Essex Round Table Lodge at its first meeting in 1989 becoming its Master in 1998

He will be missed by all his friends.
