Ken Cook - Medway 41 Club

Ken Cook passed away at the age of 83 on Thursday 18th August 2016 at Pembury hospital. He will be sadly missed by his family, many friends and colleagues. Kens wife Sylvia has been very poorly for some time and Ken had arranged for a carer to live in and help look after her. His sudden death was not only a shock to his wife Sylvia but his four sons Martin, Ian, Simon, Brian and their families.

Ken had been an active member of Medway 41 Club and ever present for meetings and Regional events.He was Chairman of the club in 1982/83 and also was Treasurer for several years.Ken was a very popular member and will be missed by all members of the club

After qualifying as a chartered accountant Ken formed his own accountancyfrom a company he took over, Judkins & Co in Chatham around 1960 which grew to become probably one of the largest accountancy firms in the Medway Towns of which his son Martin joined some years later.

Ken was a long standing member of the Castle club at Rochester as well as a former member of Chatham Round Table, Medway 41 club and a former Rotarian.

For many years Ken was a keen skier and would visit the slopes of Switzerland, Austria and the French Alps.

He was a workaholic and loved his work and his family life was very important to him. He will be missed by so many people. His funeral was on Wednesday 7th September with a Service at Boxley church followed by a cremation at Bearsted.
