APPEAL - Winter Clothes for Ukraine 20-11-2022 Club news: 41 Club Primary

Mike Franzkowiak and Camberley Rugby Club, in association with Rotary, are running a campaign to collect Winter Clothing and ship it urgently to the people of Ukraine. The continuing bombing of cities and towns, and the destruction of infrastructure means that innumerable innocent men, women and children will be living in freezing winter conditions. If you would like to participate the details are below.

Between Monday 21st November and Monday 28th November (Mid-day) Camberley Rugby Club will be collecting clothes and sleeping bags for the people of Ukraine at Camberley Rugby Club.

If you have clothing, sleeping bags, blankets and duvets, that you no longer need, you may want to bag them up, label them (Mens, Ladies, Childrens or Babies) and take them to the Rugby Club.

The club will be open for you to drop off these items for those eight days from 9.00a.m. to 9.00p.m. Just leave them in the entrance lobby. Let’s make a difference and help keep the people of Ukraine warm this winter.
Winter Clothing:
What is urgently needed?
  • Overcoats, Jackets, Trousers, Fleeces, Jumpers
  • Accessories: Winter Hats, Gloves, Scarves
  • NEW Thermal Underwear, NEW warm Socks
  • Ski-wear
  • Sleeping bags
  • Blankets & Duvets
  • Fur Coats

Everything except underwear can be pre-worn but we ask that items are hygienic and in a good state of repair.

I hope that we can help this very worthy cause. So, drop the bags off and Mike and his team will arrange the shipment to Ukraine.

Maureen...feel free to forward this note to Tangent members.
