Grosvenor Knights of Chester 41 Club had a great evening at Chester Archery Club last month, with even our blind member Tom Walker trying his hand with a bow and arrow (see photo opposite). Seven members of Ashby 41 Club (me, Goody, Hugh, Greg, Pete B, Kevin and JR) ventured north to the Royal Armouries in Leeds on 12th September for the 70th Anniversary Lunch of 41 Club. The first problem when we arrived at the venue at 11:30 was that the bar wasn't due to open until 12 noon, but fortunately common sense prevailed and pints of Black Sheep bitter were being served only 10 minutes later!

Well, what a great night we had. We were joined by 8 members of Redcar 41 Club and were able to undertake an inter-club competition comprising 12 games with each club playing each game in pairs.
